PRIVACY POLICY
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Adventure Holiday Tour ("we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Slovenia under registration number 8545049000 (MŠ) and tax identification number SI92026699, with its registered office at Lipa 11A, 1313 Struge, Slovenia, trading as Go Adventure Holiday. It explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or make a booking, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
"You" and "your" refer to the person making a booking and any traveller included in that booking, as well as any visitor to our website. By using our website or making a booking with us, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed as described in this policy.
2. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to everyone who interacts with us. Visitors browsing our website, people who submit an inquiry, guests who book a tour, and travellers included on a booking made by someone else on their behalf.
3. Information That We Collect
When You Visit Our Website: Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technology
When You Make An Inquiry: Your name, email address, and phone number (if provided), along with any details you share about your trip.
When You Book A Tour: Your name, email address, and phone number, the number of travellers (adults, children, infants), your chosen package, travel dates, and any notes you provide.
When Payment Is Made: Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details on our servers. After a successful payment, we only retain Stripe's transaction reference, such as the payment ID and amount, for record-keeping purposes.
4. How We Use Your Information
We only use your information for specific, clearly defined purposes. Never beyond what's necessary to run your booking, protect our business, or comply with the law.
To Confirm Your Booking
We use your details to confirm reservations with us. It is done to coordinate with our team and drivers, answer your questions, and manage any changes or cancellations. This is necessary to fulfill our contract with you.
Processing payments and record-keeping
Payments are handled securely through Stripe. We maintain the accounting records required under Slovenian tax law. This is necessary for our contract with you and to meet our legal obligations.
Protecting against fraud
If we suspect a fraudulent booking or chargeback, we may investigate and, where necessary, report it to the relevant authorities. We do this based on our legitimate interest in protecting the business, balanced against your rights.
Sending newsletters
If you've subscribed to our newsletter, we'll use your email to send updates. This is based on your consent. You can stop receiving these at any time by contacting us directly.
Understanding website usage
If you accept cookies through our consent banner, we use analytics to understand how visitors use our site and improve it. This is based on your consent, and you can manage your preferences at any time.
Defending legal claims
We may retain relevant records where there's a dispute or complaint, based on our legitimate interest in establishing or defending legal claims.
5. When We Ask About Your Health or Dietary Needs
Certain activities on our tours include physical activities like hiking, high-altitude travel, or physically demanding excursions. This sometimes calls for a bit more context about you beforehand. If you have a health condition, mobility limitation, or dietary requirement that could affect how an activity is arranged, letting us know in advance means we can plan around it properly rather than finding out on the day.
Sharing this is always your choice, never a requirement. Once shared, it's used strictly to make that specific arrangement work. Nothing more. That might mean passing a dietary note to a restaurant, or flagging a mobility need to a trek guide. If you'd rather withdraw this information later, you're free to do so, though it may limit what we're able to accommodate. We don't hold onto it beyond what the trip itself, and any related follow-up, reasonably requires.
6. The Parties We Work With
Running a trip means a few other people inevitably need some of your information. But only the parts relevant to their part of the journey, and never more.
That includes the guides, restaurants, transport operators, and activity providers actually named in your itinerary. They'll see your name, your dates, and anything you've told us that's relevant to what they're providing. Stripe processes your payment on our behalf, without ever giving us your full card details. Behind the scenes, our website host and email systems keep things running. And where legal or accounting matters require it, our accountant or lawyer may also see relevant information that would be shared with public authorities, if the law obligates us to share it. Also, we do not sell your data or hand it to anyone looking to market to you independently of us.
7. Where Your Data Physically Lives
Your data is primarily processed and stored within our office in Slovenia, even when your itinerary spans multiple countries. The exception is a handful of backend tools, including Stripe. When information passes through them, it doesn't travel unprotected. Either the destination country has been formally recognized as offering adequate data protection, or we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses to cover the gap. If you are curious about the specifics? Just ask.
8. How Long We Keep Your Information
Information retention periods depend on what the information is for.
Inquiries that don't lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months after our last reply, in case you'd like to pick the conversation back up. Once you've actually traveled with us, your booking and tour records are retained for 5 years after the trip, covering both tax requirements and the period during which a claim could reasonably arise. Invoices and accounting records are held for 10 years, as required under Slovenian bookkeeping law. Any health, dietary, or mobility details you've shared are deleted once your trip concludes, unless they're relevant to an ongoing incident or claim.
If you delete your account, any enquiry or booking contact details still on file are anonymised rather than fully erased, since some records need to remain for accounting purposes.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The site uses cookies to keep it functioning and to understand how visitors use it.
Strictly necessary cookies (session, CSRF protection, "remember me" login) are always set, since the site can't function properly without them.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are set from your first visit. You can turn these off anytime through the cookie banner or its settings panel.
Advertising cookies are not set unless you actively accept them.
Third-party feature cookies may also load when you interact with embedded content, such as Google Maps, reCAPTCHA on the contact form, or a YouTube video preview.
If you're redirected to Stripe to complete a payment, Stripe sets its own cookies on its domain. This is separate from cookies on our site.
Here's a paragraph version with reworded language:
10. Your Rights Over Your Data
You're entitled to a number of rights regarding the personal data we hold about you. You can request confirmation of what information we have on file and ask for a copy of it, and if anything is inaccurate or outdated, you can have it corrected. Where we no longer have a legal or operational need to retain your data, you're entitled to request its deletion. You may also object to certain ways we process your data, or ask us to limit that processing — this includes an unconditional right to opt out of direct marketing at any point. Where our handling of your data relies on your consent or on fulfilling a contract, and is done through automated means, you can ask to receive that data in a portable, commonly-used format, or request that we transfer it directly to another provider on your behalf. If you've given us consent for a particular use of your data, you're free to withdraw it whenever you choose, though this won't affect the lawfulness of anything we did with your data before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at tarun@adventureholidaytours.com. We aim to respond within one month of your request; for more complex requests, this period may be extended by up to two additional months, and we'll notify you if that extension is needed.
11. Complaints
If you're dissatisfied with how we've handled your personal data, please reach out to us directly first — email us at tarun@adventureholidaytours.com or write to us at Adventure Holiday Tour (Go Adventure Holiday), Lipa 11A, 1313 Struge, Slovenia. We'll aim to get back to you within five working days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with Slovenia's data protection authority at any time:

If you're based in another EU country, you can instead file your complaint with the supervisory authority in your own country.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If a change is material, we'll publish the updated version on our website at least 30 days before it takes effect. The current version number and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
