Day TripPackage Details
Delhi doesn't need a week to leave an impression. We have built a well-planned one-day trip for you that covers the capital's biggest landmarks without feeling like a sprint. This Delhi day tour package by car is built for travelers who have limited time but still want to walk away with a real sense of the city. In just one day, you can catch up with Mughal-era monuments to symbols of modern India.
The day typically opens with Old Delhi. Our first stop will be Red Fort which is an imposing sandstone fortress built by Shah Jahan and sets the tone early. Not far away from Red Fort is Jama Masjid. It is one of India's largest mosques, whose courtyard is often busy with pigeons and pilgrims. Old Delhi perfectly represents the harmony of India with all three major religions of India – Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs leaving and sharing the city.
The best part of this one-day Delhi tour is that you do not have to catch the metro or ask strangers for routes. You can enjoy the capital city in the comfort of your private car.
From here, the tour moves into Lutyens' Delhi. India Gate is a quick photo stop. There is no entry, just the memorial and its surrounding lawns. From there we will drive past President's House (Rashtrapati Bhavan), whose grand gates and colonial-era architecture are best viewed from outside. Entry in Rashtrapati Bhavan requires booking, and it takes a few hours to take a complete tour of the residence. Just minutes away is the National Museum which is a good stop for anyone who wants context behind everything seen so far. The museum has artifacts spanning thousands of years of Indian history.
After a lunch break, the route continues to Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir) near Connaught Place. It is a quieter and spiritual pause between the day's more historic stops. From there, the next place will be Humayun's Tomb. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the earliest examples of Mughal garden-tomb architecture in India. As the city will turn pink in the evening, we will move to Qutub Minar, which is a 12th-century sandstone tower rising sharply against the skyline. To get the most memorable photo clicked in Delhi, go to a nearby café near Qutub Minar from where you can get the lit-up tower in the background while enjoying some masala chai.
The final stop on our one-day tour of Delhi is often the Lotus Temple, the Bahá'í House of Worship. It is a temple shaped like a blooming lotus flower. It's a calm, reflective close to a day that's otherwise packed with history and movement.
Because this is a Delhi one day tour package by car, transitions between sites are quick and air-conditioned and that matters more than it sounds. A private car also means flexibility. You can skip a stop that doesn't interest you, or linger longer somewhere that does.
This Delhi day tour package for family works particularly well too. The pacing isn't rigid, and washroom and food breaks are easy. We have made sure that none of the stops require excessive walking or waiting.
Our Delhi day tour package price starts at Rs. X per person. The final cost depends on vehicle type, inclusions, group size, and travel dates. This tour package leaves enough time at each stop to actually take it in. Not just photographing it and moving on. This is what really makes the difference between a good Delhi tour itinerary and one that just checks boxes.
