About the Tour
Jaipur is a long day trip. But it's a doable one. This Jaipur day tour package by car covers the 260 km drive each way, giving you a full look at Rajasthan's pink-hued capital without needing to stay overnight.
The route into the city passes right by Jal Mahal, the Lake Palace that appears to float at the center of Man Sagar Lake. It's the natural first stop — best viewed from the road running alongside it, since the interior isn't open to visitors. From here, a short drive further north leads to the day's highlight: Amer Fort. Perched on a hill overlooking the lake, it's known for its mirrored halls and sweeping views over the surrounding hills. It sets the tone early.
After lunch, the tour heads back into the city itself, starting with City Palace. Part of it is still home to Jaipur's royal family. The rest blends Rajput and Mughal architectural styles across its courtyards and museums. A short walk away stands Jantar Mantar, the 18th-century astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Some of its instruments are still used to track time and celestial movement today — precise enough, even centuries later.
Just outside its walls is Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Its honeycomb facade of 953 small windows is instantly recognisable, originally designed to let royal women observe street life unseen. The final stop is Albert Hall Museum — Rajasthan's oldest museum, housed in an Indo-Saracenic building. Its collection is eclectic, home to a 2,300-year-old Egyptian mummy and the Persian Garden Carpet, among other pieces.
The drive alone takes 5 hours each way. So this Jaipur one day tour package by car is a long day by design, and an early departure from Delhi is essential. A private car makes it manageable — rest stops along the way, flexibility to adjust time at each site, no rigid group pace to follow.
This Jaipur day tour package from Delhi works well for traveler's who want a genuine taste of Rajasthan without an overnight stay. Those wanting a more relaxed pace, though, might consider spreading the same stops across two days instead.
On the Jaipur day tour package price — it starts at Rs. X per person, though final cost depends on vehicle type, group size, and inclusions. For a lighter version of the day, this can also be arranged as a Jaipur local sightseeing package covering fewer stops.

5:00 AM – Depart Delhi
We will start early to reach Jaipur in the morning so that you get enough time to explore the city. The drive from Delhi to Jaipur takes approximately 5 hours.
10:00 AM – Jal Mahal (photo stop)
Jal Mahal sits right on the route into the city from the Amer road. This makes it our first stop. To get a perfect picture of Jal Mahal, take it from the road running alongside Man Sagar Lake. There can’t be a better start to a Jaipur day tour than this. Jal Mahal sits mid-lake and makes for a quick, scenic pause before the day's sightseeing properly begins.
10:40 AM – Amer Fort
As we continue our one-day tour of Jaipur, it further brings you to Amer Fort. It is set high on a ridge above the lake. Give yourself close to two hours here. The mirror-work interiors and courtyard layout in Amer Fort reward a slower walk-through rather than a quick pass.
12:30 PM – Lunch
After exploring the Amer Fort, treat yourself to some authentic Rajasthani cuisine.
1:30 PM – City Palace
Back into the heart of Jaipur, the next stop will be the City Palace. Rajasthan is the state where you can still trace the grandeur of early Indian empires. The part of the City Palace still functions as the royal family's residence. Expect grand courtyards and a museum wing worth browsing.
2:45 PM – Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar sits just a five-minute walk from City Palace. It is a complex with massive stone instruments, oddly futuristic for something built 300 years ago.
3:45 PM – Hawa Mahal
Right next door is the most iconic travel destination in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal is best known for its exterior— the five-story pink facade with its hundreds of tiny windows is the real photo moment here.
4:15 PM – Albert Hall Museum
Before we close out the day, head towards Albert Hall Museum. Catch the building lit up if the evening light show is running by the time you arrive.
5:30 PM – Head back to Delhi
After a full day of exploring the pink city in the comfort of your private car, return to the capital. The drive begins with breaks built in along the way
10:30 PM – Back in Delhi
You will be dropped off in Delhi and that will wrap up our Jaipur one-day tour.
